Pardeep’s Tough Image Terrorises Bovine Smugglers

 In a major crackdown against bovines smugglings, police on 15 March 2022 rescued 106 bovines and arrested 10 smugglers in separate actions.

Acting tough against the bovine smugglers and to curb the bovine smuggling menace, several Nakas have been installed and a massive recovery has been made by Jammu Police at two such nakas in the areas under the jurisdictions of Police Stations Jhajjar Kotli & Nagrota where 82 bovines have been rescued from five vehicles viz 76 bovines at Suketar Naka and 6 bovine animals at Ban toll plaza naka.

Police has rescued 76 bovine animals from three different vehicles (JK03D/7802, JK03C/9009 and JK02BR/9717) at Suketar naka in the jurisdiction of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. In this regard cognizance has been taken by Police Station   Jhajjar Kotli and two accused were arrested which have been identified as Jaguan Shah, son of Mohd Iqbal Shah, resident of Chamalwas Banihal District Ramban and Altaf Hussain Choker, son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Manzmoh Dooru Anantnag.  The arrests and recoveries were made by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Devinder Singh.

Similarly at another Naka by police teams of Police Station Nagrota at Ban Toll plaza, police teams rescued 6 bovines i.e 4 animals from vehicle (JK19 6947) and 2 animals from vehicle (JK19 3224). In this regard two cases i.e case FIR No.98 & 99/2022 under sections 188/34/IPC 11 PCA were registered at Police Station Nagrota and 5 accused were arrested which have been identified as Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Pervaiz Ahmed, resident of  Doda; Mohd Rafiq, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Doda; Saidullah Khan, son of Mangta Khan, resident of Doda; Mohd Iqbal, son of Mirza Ali, resident of Batote and Ab Latif, son of Ab Rashid, resident of  Doda. The arrest and recoveries were made by SHO Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh. The above operation was done under the overall supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.

In this context “Samarkand Express” meets SDPO Nagrota, DySP Pardeep Kumar to know about him and his vision.

Pardeep  Kumar was born in 1982 at Nowshera in Rajouri. He did his B. A from M.A.M college Jammu and LLB from the University of Jammu in 2006. A KPS officer of 2011 batch of Jammu and Kashmir Police, he has been SHO (Probationer) Baramulla and Tangmarg, Kashmir where he solved major cases.

After completing his probation, the officer has served in different capacities in different districts including militancy-hit Poonch and Rajouri.  He served in Jammu as DySP Security and SDPO Gool.

Presently, Pardeep is serving as  SDPO Nagrota, Jammu.

To know more about this officer “Samarkand Express” caught up with the people of Nagrota. According to them, ”He may have preferred a low profile but for the people of Nagrota particularly women folk, who were victims of Gunda elements like robbery, chain snatching and eve-teasing.  Pardeep is truly a tiger and champ. Being a legal eagle and polite, he has the art of judging one’s real thoughts.”

Recently, in a marital discord case, he carried out an investigation within hours and gave the victim a clean chit. Thus, proved the instant justice delivery system for which  SDPO Nagrota is known for.
